This is EGGcellent!

For those of you wanting to learn about osmosis, I've got an EGGcellent experiment for you! Soak an egg in vinegar for 48 hours, then gently wash the shell off. Put the egg in syrup for 24 hours, then in water for 24 hours and observe it all along the way! Too lazy? Here it is:

See the second egg has gotten so small because it was placed in a hypertonic solution! The water moved out into the syrup to make the concentrations the same, and in the third picture it moved back in! You may not can tell, but that third egg is HUGE!

There's your biology lesson for today!
