Saturday morning my husband and I are startled awake by a ROOSTER. I think, "what idiot neighbor of ours has a ROOSTER in a NEIGHBORHOOD!?" I may have said it out loud, I'm not sure, it was 30 MINUTES before my alarm was scheduled to go off. So Chris gets up to let Mally out and comes back to get me because there is something, he says, I shouldn't miss-and he's right... There is a dadgum ROOSTER on OUR fence. Mally and I go to investigate:
She chases the rooster around our yard until we make her come in and the noisy bird decides to take up residence in our neighbors yard. Sunday morning, same thing, except this time the rooster starts at 5am! Later that afternoon our neighbor tells us that the guy from the corner came to pick up his rooster, and we were thankful. But what guy? What corner? Turns out, that stinkin' rooster starts crowing at about 4:30 EVERY morning and we can STILL hear it! It's a little more muffled now and we've decided that our OTHER neighbor, who lives on the corner right next to us, has the "natural alarmclock" in his greenhouse. I guess it's better than what I thought he had in there. I was sure each night I saw that building glowing green or red that we had a meth addict beside us. Everyone else thinks he's growing marijuana, but I try to tell them meth is the new thing.
In other news, Caroline is estimated to weigh about 5lbs 1oz by ultrasound this past Tuesday. She insisted on having at least one fist in front of her face the whole time so we couldn't get a good pic, BUT we did see her little girl parts again, so it's true for the third time, Michelle, we're having a girl!
Also, we took Mally to Dennis' pond the other day and she had SO MUCH FUN! She ran around so fast, bounced all over us, ate treats ('cause she's such a good girl), and thoroughly enjoyed herself! We're going to have to do that more often.
